I have been using the same rating system for dramas for a while, and while I like and think each category I have is important, I do think I need to incorporate more things that are important to me as a viewer of dramas. I think adding categories with more meaning to me will give my ratings more substance.

This rating system is quite simple, and the problem with it was that I didn’t really have a set meaning for each of the numbers and honestly, I tend to rate things too highly… I always feel bad that I’m being too harsh. This means that some dramas I really liked have close scores to dramas that I thought were just okay.

Giving a drama less than 5 out of 10 makes me feel like I’m in the wrong. Which is ridiculous. No one cares about my little opinion, especially the people who make or are in the drama. They don’t know I exist and they never will. And if another viewer doesn’t agree with my opinion that’s not a problem, for either of us. This is why I’ve made each category and the overall rating out of 5, as this is something I’m more comfortable with, as it’s how I rate books (which I do very simply and without this much thought… is that bad?🤔).
