Reads and Watches
October didn’t go how I planned and it was mostly made up of work and stress. That isn’t going anywhere, but we’re trying to think more positively.
We’re coming up to the end of the year and I really want to be more productive and consistent to take that energy into 2027.

October Wrap Up
Lord of the Reads
To be honest, 50% of my monthly TBR read, at this point, is great!
Graveyard Shift was a TBR Jar tile prompt, while reading The Moving Finger (3.5 ⭐) and The God in the Woods (4.5⭐) got me two cards: ‘Farmer Maggot’, which is part of the Background Characters Collection and ‘Asfaloth’, which is part of the Deus Ex Animals Collection.

Series
I’m currently watching ‘From Now On, Showtime!’, which I’m having a good time with and I watched one episode of Crash Landing on You…
But, what I did watch, was all the episodes of The League of Gentleman… and I don’t know that I enjoyed it.
I’m going to see how I do in November with having a little series watchlist, because I’ve not been very good at forcing my brain to agree with my past self on what I want to watch. I just know that I need to not open YouTube and TikTok as much as it’s embarrassing…
NOVEMBER
I had a several hiccups in October and I’m not sure how I’ll be, motivation wise, now that we’re moving into shorter and darker days. But, I’m optimistic at present!

Lord of the Reads || November TBR
Once again, this beautiful game was created by Silvia at Library Unbounded on YouTube.
My companion for this game was Gimli 🪓
All titles are linked to StoryGraph if you want to read their synopsis.
Roll 1: Series Tile
A Drop of Corruption; Robert Jackson Bennett
I’ve been meaning to get round to continuing in the Shadow of the Leviathan series and I think this month will be a perfect time to do so.
Roll 2: Mood Read
I’m in such a crime/mystery reading mood and I really liked the previous book in this series. I’m probably going to listen to the audiobook as I enjoyed having the Australian accent to go along with the setting.
Roll 3: Read a Book Told From First Person POV
Another mystery thriller on the list! I’m finding that I enjoy crime and rich people drama. And this feels like it’s going to fit the bill.
Roll 4: Read a Book Borrowed From a Friend
Little Women; Louisa May Alcott
I don’t really borrow books as I own too many anyways, so I’m bending this a lot by choosing a book that I was gifted by a friend instead. I have only ever seen the 90’s Little Women and I’m interested in seeing how I find it.
Roll 5: TBR Jar
The Fortunes of Olivia Richmond; Louise Davidson
The jar gave me a historical gothic novel, so it’s definitely feeling the moody autumn season!
Roll 6: Read a Hardback Book with a Black Cover
I’m a little worried about this one. I’ve enjoyed Ava Reid in the past, but I’ve not heard great things about Lady Macbeth, especially from Scottish readers.
TV Series
I found Jeeves and Wooster in a charity shop a while back and I need to watch it! I remember watching this as a kid and I’m here for some British goofiness.
On the flip side, when I saw Trigger being recommended to me on Netflix, I knew instantly that I needed to watch it. Kim Nam Gil and long haired Kim Young Kwang in a crime drama. Give it to me!
I randomly found Branding in Seongsu and all I know about it is that it’s a body swap noona romance, with a mystery. Sounds so fun!
Let me know if you have any plans of your own in November!
Thanks for reading! I hope you’re having a lovely day and staying safe 💕
