Mid-Month Check In ♥

Remember to stay up to date with the world, listen to those facing atrocities and help spread awareness/donate where you’re able to.

It’s now day 17 out of 31. I have successfully posted a blog each day (with only one little hiccup) and I’m really happy that I’m following through with this challenge I set myself. Yes, I wish I had spent more time preparing, but that’s never been my strong suit 😅

I’ve liked the posts that I have written and I hope that you do to!

Currently, I’m struggling a little with ideas, as I have several things planned for the end of the month, but none for this dead air in the middle. I had hoped to have watched several dramas by now to review and some fun posts that I was excited to do in November, but which I can no longer do because of the new Omicron variant…

And don’t get me started on how much I don’t care about Christmas.

I’m currently working from home, which is something I have never done before and it’s hard. When I would go to into the office, I had a set commute and a good sleep schedule.

I looked on the NHS site and they suggest waking up when you normally would and using your commute time for other activities before logging on. I’m definitely going to try this and it will mean I don’t use my lunch break just for walking my dog, which means eating at my desk while working. I also need to start taking small breaks, but I get so caught up in my work as it has gotten so busy at the moment due to the new variant, that I feel like I shouldn’t.

If you have any suggestions on making working from home a better experience, do let me know! I’d truly appreciate it ♥

I’m currently feeling rather unmotivated and it’s because I’m tired a lot of the time and I’m such a boring person… Which I’ve always known, but it’s always something that plays on my mind. I know we’re all in the same boat with Covid, but my brain likes to play pity parties all the time (it’s literally it’s favourite hobby since I can remember) 😅 I’ve read that some people don’t have an internal monologue and I want to know how that feels!

Anyway, I’m going to use some NHS tips, as well as any other I find or you suggest and try them for a while, and I’ll let you know if it improves my situation.

I want to thank everyone who has read even just one of my posts so far this month. Some of my favourites include so far include:

I’d also like to share “Breathe” sung by Lee Hi and written/composed by the beautiful soul Jonghyun. This song brought me a lot of pain after his passing, but now it’s a source of healing:

Thank you for reading!

I hope that you’re having a lovely day and staying safe ♥
