Sep ’26 – Aug ’27

I need to get back into watching dramas and I had hoped that round one of DR/AsianDramas would have ignited the spark again. Unfortunately, it’s been a rough year, but I’m back with a vengeance and I’m excited to actually start and finish dramas!

Round One

The ones below that are highlighted link to my reviews, if you want to read more of my thoughts.

Romantics Anonymous ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 – The characters were super cute and charming and kept me watching even when the plot was flimsy.

I Cannot Reach You ⭐⭐ – Cute in moments, but nothing memorable.

Face Me ⭐⭐.5 – This was all over the place and the detective work was pretty poor.

Mercy For None ⭐⭐⭐.5 – So Ji Sub being attractive while getting revenge, sign me up, always.

Teach You a Lesson ⭐⭐⭐ – I wanted to love this so much more than I did. Sometimes it got a bit too silly goofy for me.

Round Two Board

I’m bringing good energy to round two by making the board my favourite colour! 💚

Round two runs from September 2026 to August 2027 (inclusive).

I’m very much a ‘mood’ person, but I’m putting down three potential options that I may watch and hopefully review for each row below. But, I’m not making promises!

I have ‘Currently Watching Purgatory’ twice on the board as I struggle to complete things, especially when I enjoy them. I hate it. And, I understand other people aren’t like that, so feel free to change these squares to a drama you’ve been meaning to watch for a while, a personal challenge or just a general free space.

Row One

The first row consists of ‘Character name in title’, ‘Secret Identity’, ‘Sageuk’, ‘School setting’ and ‘Blue Dragon Award Winner’.

Just a bit of clarification on the last prompt, you can either choose a drama that won, or the drama which an actor won an award for (including the Grand Prize). For instance, in it’s first year D.P won best drama, but you could watch Yumi’s Cells as Kim Go Eun won best actress for her role in that (obviously includes all categories!).

Row Two

The second row consists of ‘Cinderella Seven’, ‘Over 16eps’, ‘Re-Watch’, ‘Paranormal’ and ‘Hate to Love’.

The Cinderella Seven is made up of Son Ye-Jin and her besties Gong Hyo-Jin, Uhm Ji-Won, Lee Min-Jung, Oh Yoon-Ah, Lee Jung-Hyun and Song Yoon-Ah.

Row Three

The third row consists of ‘Romance’, ‘Currently Watching Purgatory’, ‘Free’, ‘Number in the Title’ and ‘Book Adaptation’.

Row Four

The fourth row consists of ‘Released in 2026’, ‘Royalty’, ‘Hyung Squad’, ‘Web Drama’ and ‘Released in 2027’.

The Hyung Squad is made up of actors: Jo In-sung, Kim Woo-Bin, Do Kyung-Soo, Lee Kwang-Soo, Song Joong-Ki, Cha Tae-Hyun, Kim Ki-Bang and Im Joo-Hwan

Row Five

The fifth and final row consists of ‘Baeksang Winner’, ‘Noona Romance’, ‘Crime’, ‘Currently Watching Purgatory’ and ‘Action’.

For clarification, the Baeksang square should be filled by a drama that has won the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Drama. This award has been going since the 1970’s, so there’s plenty of options to choose from!
