2022 wasn’t a bad year for me. It was stressful, but honestly what year isn’t now? I got a new job and did a few fun work outings. I also got to see a couple of my best friends in the latter half of the year, which I really want to make more of a routine. Why is it so hard to be sociable?!
In 2022, my blog was pretty much left to the wayside. This is going to change drastically in 2023! New Year, New Me for sure! π
I have quite a lot planned and I’m going to go over some things in this post.
DRAMAS
I’m planning on doing a lot more drama reviews on my blog this year. I started out only making K-drama content, and I’d like to get my love for dramas back!
I tried to start a “Try An Episode” challenge in 2022, but I failed. However, I’m going to bring it back! The K-dramas will be a surprise, but the genres are as follows:
- Romance π
- Comedy π
- Law/Drama βοΈ
- Sports π
- Sageuk πΈ
For this challenge I’ll be trying 3 K-dramas every other month and reviewing them. It’s a spin on the booktube Try a Chapter challenge. I’ll also be reviewing any other dramas I watch (not just Korean ones).
KPOP
I want to be more involved in Kpop releases this year, so I’ll be doing “My Favourite Albums/Single Releases” for every month and then in December (or January I’m not sure), I’ll do my own “Best of 2023”.
I’ll also be exploring discography’s of groups/artists that I really like, as well as ones I’ve avoided (my first one of these will be BTS – I find their fans off-putting).
BOOKS
I enjoyed playing along with booktuber’s tbr games in 2022, however, this year I don’t plan on making tbr’s. I do still like the idea of prompts, so I have compiled a list of 52 prompts from several 2023 reading challenges and I’ll be using a random number generator each month – possibly 4 or 5.
I’ll be doing the normal wrap up after the month has ended.
I’ll also be taking part in Kayla’s (BooksandLala) Buzzwordathon. The prompt graphic that I’ll fill in and share at the end of the year is below:
I really want to read more non-fiction and I read several in 2022. My plan this year is to read 12 non-fiction books in 12 months. For this mini challenge, I’ve chosen the books as these are ones that I already own (I’ve pre-ordered Take Away by Angela Hui in paperback):
In completing these challenges, I’ll have read 76 books, which is definitely an achievable goal!
WRITING
I decided to try and participate in Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) last year in November. I did not reach the goal of 50,000 words, but I’m interested in making it a part of my blog by sharing updates throughout the year.
I’ve enjoyed writing since I was little, but I’ve always struggled to finish anything. I tend to be full of ideas and daydream fuel, but I’m too critical when it comes to putting it down on paper. This is going to change! 2023 is the year of completing goals!
Thank you for reading! I wish you all the best with your own goals, be they blog or even life related!
I hope that youβre having a good day and staying safe β₯
