Fight For My Way has been on my radar for a long time.
I planned on watching an episode for this post and couldn’t stop from watching episode 2.
This drama aired in 2017 on KBS2 and stars Kim Ji Won and the always handsome Park Seo Joon ♥.♥
- Director: Lee Na Jeong
- Writer: Im Sang Choon
- Producer: Moon Joon Ha
I wanted something funny and lighthearted to watch and so far Fight For My Way fits this completely. There are some more emotional moments which I can see becoming more prominent later on, but right now a lot of this drama is ridiculous!
And I love it!! ♥
For most of the first episode we see best friends Ko Dong Man (Park Seo Joon) and Kim Joo Man (Ahn Jae Hong) being dumb and hyper about Taekwondo when they’re meant to be studying.
Meanwhile, at an all girls school, besties Choi Ae Ra (Kim Ji Won) and Baek Seol Hee (Song Ha Yoon) are trying their hardest to get out of school to go and see Dong Man’s taekwondo match in Seoul (those wigs, especially Ji Won’s makes these scenes even funnier!). These excuses get more and more ridiculous and I love how we see the main four so passionate and human and dumb. It makes them so much more relatable on the off set!
In episode 2 we see their present day lives more in depth and they are far from what they had imagined in secondary school. Ae Ra is a greeter at a department store rather than an announcer. Meanwhile, Dong Man’s taewkondo career is over which has something to do with his father’s business and a sacrifice Dong Man has had to make.
We see glimpses of Joo Man and Seol Hee at their office workplace and their relationship. I look forward to seeing more of them!
As for the mains, their relationship was a bit of a surprise. From the first episode we got the impression that they were from the same town, but they are much more familiar with each other. In episode two we see that they are incredibly close, despite both bickering and acting like they aren’t haha Every time Ae Ra needs him or is in an upsetting situation, Dong Man comes to the rescue – usually with fists and feet flying! He is weak to her tears!
Oh and the end scenes are always a pleasure to watch! I highly recommend waiting and not skipping them!
This is such a funny and loving friendship under all the pretending’s and I look forward to watching their friendship turn into more ♥
Of course there is some other romance issues – it wouldn’t be a kdrama without a love triangle or square! It seems that Dong Man has a history with recently divorced announcer Park Hye Ran (Lee Elijah), while Dong Man’s old classmate smartie Park Moo Bin (Choi Woo Sik) will probably be the second male lead – I’m thankful that Seo Joon is the main otherwise I would totally have second lead syndrome because Woo Sik is such a cutie!
The pacing of the episodes is good and my attention was always held. Most KBS drama’s are well made and look polished and this is true for Fight For My Way.
I’m very excited to keep going with this drama and I hope my future brain agrees and we actually finish it ^^”
Have you seen Fight For My Way? Did you like it? Or not?

This is seriously in my top 10 favorite dramas ever. I’ve watched it twice and will still go back and watch my favorite scenes. It’s like a how-to on chemistry between co-stars.
