name a book you would like to see under the christmas tree?

I’d like to see a lot of books under my tree, but I have one that I know is sat there right now that I’m super excited for! I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune which I read in March, and his new book Under the Whispering Door looks and sounds just as whimsical and heartwarming. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it!

name a book you’ll be reading during the christmas season

I have a tbr for December, so I really should choose one of those books… but honestly, I haven’t read anything in a few weeks 😭 I’m going to try and get at least the ones I’m more than halfway through done over the Christmas season – Once Upon a Crime; Robin Stevens + A Man Called Ove; Fredrik Backman + The Devotion of Suspect X; Keigo Higashino – and try not to just pick up the book from the above question!

name your favourite christmas movie

The 2000 version of The Grinch! I love this film so much and I think Jim Carrey is fantastic as the cynical and sarcastic drama queen that is the Grinch 😂

I also really love the way the film looks!

do you like snow?

Not really. I don’t like being super cold and in England that’s what snow means. And to be honest, we don’t really get snow that much in the South, it’s more like icy sludge which means I nearly fall over at least twice a day when it happens 😅

name a character you would like to spend your christmas day with

I never know how to really answer these questions… maybe Jem Carstairs. He’s probably my favourite character from the entire Shadowhunter series so far. I think a Christmas with him would be so calming and a pleasant day all round.

Hazel from Murder Most Unladylike would be a good person to spend Christmas with (fingers crossed no one is murdered). We could read and eat cake all day! ♥

I like to give, but I’d be lying if I didn’t prefer to open stuff! I’m the youngest sibling, so it’s kind of inbuilt~

what fictional place would you like to spend christmas at?

Maybe the Shire. Hobbit’s know how to throw a party, so I’d be well fed for sure and never bored!

your fondest christmas memory?

I don’t really have many memories of Christmas and this technically doesn’t count as it was Boxing Day, but it’s all I can think of. The memory is of my sister and I spending the day together to watch David Tennant’s Hamlet when it was shown on tv in 2009 ♥
