It’s spoopy time~

Spookathon takes place from 14th-20th October and surrounds the Halloween theme. The host and creator is Kayla from BooksandLala (with Shannon and Paige – who don’t make bookish content on YouTube anymore).

There are 5 prompts, but this read-a-thon is a lot more relaxed and is mainly about just reading as much or little as you like. And to read at least one thriller, which I definitely hope to do.

The Death of Mrs Westaway; Ruth Ware

I don’t read thrillers. I’m such a wimp when it comes to psychological stuff! However, the main point of the Spook-a-thon is to read a thriller. I don’t really know where to start with thrillers, but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about The Death of Mrs Westaway.

Hell’s Horizon; Darren Shan (The City Trilogy #2)

This book has been on my tbr for years. I’m not sure what this book is about, but I think it follows a man who is in the Cardinal’s personla guard and it’s a crime mystery…? We’ll see haha

And Hell is a pretty spooky word, right?

The Diviners; Libba Bray

I don’t know much about this series, but I think it’s about supernatural shenanigans in the dark underbelly of 20’s New York City. I’ve heard it can get scary, so I’m pretty excited to pick this one up!
