Ailee is back and I have finally watched one of her new comeback videos! And I must say I love it! ♥ Ailee is one of those performers who can never let me down, perfection~

Story:

Okay… I think that the woman (the wonderful Queen Ailee~) is in love with a man, however, she has a strange way of showing it, or her moods are hot and cold. Something causes her to realise how her mood might confuse him, and she wants to reassure him that she loves him more than is “sane” (see what I did there… haha ^^”).

Okay… I may have been very wrong… From the lyrics (which you can see here – I could only find a lyric video) I feel that Ailee wants to be with someone, however, she can only see them in her dreams. She doesn’t want to be alone and wants to keep spending time with him, even if it isn’t real. I guess that and the fact she really loves him is the “insane” part?

But then I don’t understand why she keeps pushing him away? Is that her waking up?

I don’t think I’m smart or artsy enough to understand ^^” Let me know what you thought about the meaning of this video in the comments! ♥

Visuals:

My gosh, I love black and white videos, especially when dancing, emotion and the voice of an angel is part of it. I feel that with this song, the black and white video gave it more depth and interest.

Also, it could be a reflection of how it isn’t real and a lot of her time is spent in her dreams.

The set was pretty simple, several rooms and hallways. I like simplicity and even though the walls looked like they wouldn’t be pretty in real life, they looked stylish haha ^^”

The guy, he was a nice visual~ I liked that he was in all black, while Ailee was in a white shirt (and black shorts). He caught my eye a lot because of this and then Ailee caught my eye because she was beautiful and I loved her simple outfit (and the mix of colours kind of made me think that she was half in her dreams and half in reality, sort of in a limbo type state idk).

Vocals:

Ailee has never let me down on vocals and to be honest she never will. Her range is perfection and I love that this was more of a ballad song, because as I keep saying, I love ballads. Even though the beat was a bit more up tempo, her voice kept the flow really nicely and blended with the music in a great way.

I also love when she goes slighter higher in pitch and yet she still flows her voice really nicely~

Dance:

I really liked the dance. There wasn’t really a set of moves that were continued, but it had a nice flow and even though it should have felt a bit strange that she was moving at a faster pace at times than the music, but I really enjoyed it. I felt it was more of an interpretive/alternative style and it kind of reminded me of SIA’s videos, but with more toned down and sexier movements (obviously because Maddie, the dancer is only a young girl, but you understand right?).
