Even after updating my 2025 plans in August to make it easier for me, I failed them all. Well, I changed my Goodreads goal on December 2025, so I achieved that! 😁
My main goal is to actually post here and not to disappear for several months at a time. I’m not sure that anyone notices, but I enjoy blogging and want to be consistent with uploading. I think it will help my mental health and create a better work life balance, especially as a big personal goal is to try to not care so much about what other people think about me and that my opinions matter (no matter how trivial the topic).
I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with loads of challenges and to make everything have pretty low stakes and have small figures (if a numerical figure is attached to a goal).
As well as the challenges below I will be restarting Hayleigh’s Film Club – which the announcement will be posted next week (19th January). So stay tuned for that if you want to join or see what I’ll be watching! I think the post header is cute, so here’s a sneak peak~
Challenges
Continuing On-Going Bingo Boards!
Last year, I started the r/Fantasy bingo board and it’s a Reddit reading challenge that runs from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026. I then started the DR/AsianDramas bingo board in September 2025, which will run up until the 1st of September 2026.
As you can see below, I’m making very slow progress on both boards.
Nowadays, bingo challenges are more about achieving a blackout and I’m not taking that energy into 2026. If I achieve a bingo, aka, I hit all the spaces in a row/column/diagonal, then I’ve won.
New Challenges:
I’m going to start a lifestyle bingo board as well, which will span the whole of 2026. The spots are a mix of easy and hard challenges, but trying to get through this board will hopefully give my 2026 more of an uplifting and accomplished feel.
To pair with this, I’ll be bringing in a loyalty card aspect. It’s kind of ugly, but the point is that with every bingo – within all three boards in this post – I get a stamp.
Once I get a full card – 10 bingo’s – I will have a mini shopping trip in Fenwicks (probably during the January sales in 2027 and mini will probably mean like 2 things).
