❄️📖🎬🌸
2025 is speeding by and it’s already mid-April!
I realised after having updated the graphics that I shouldn’t have included the 12 days of April in this post. I’m dumb and did not have the energy to change everything, so I will make sure that the next quarterly puts things back on track – post wise.
I’m ahead in my reading, but my watching is not great. And, to be honest I’m not surprised about that, but it’s definitely good to see the problem areas and I intend to set myself a few little goals by the time the next quarterly comes around in July.

READS
I’ve read 27 books so far in 2025 and I’m sort of realising that my board is maybe too easy… It’s only a quarter of the way through the year, but I’ve completed two squares and well on my way to completing several more.
I definitely need to get an ‘I’m Feeling…’ post sorted to bring that square to life!
I knew that the Skulduggery Pleasant square would be hard because I don’t like Phase 2, however, I already own the books for Phase 3 (Derek Landy has me in a chokehold, what can I say?) and it’s only a trilogy and from the blurbs they sound amazing. So, I just need to jump in. I only have two books left in Phase 2, I can do this.
In the next quarter those square will have numbers!
Savings: £60
Rewards: up to £60
I have cashed my rewards in with some cute daisy hoop earrings from Lisa Jewellery and a switch game (I’m not going to promote this as it’s from a certain franchise that was created by a Terf).
Also, I basically spent what I saved. Perhaps I didn’t really think this reward system through either… 🫥

WATCHES
Like I said in the intro, I’m not doing so great on my watches. I’d be happier with these stats if my watches were more diverse. However, the International films and series are all American.
Out of the seventeen things I’ve watched so far this year, 6 out of the 7 documentaries were American and then 6 out of 8 films have been American, the rest British. It’s so easy to just shove a documentary on when I want to watch something but am finding it hard to decide and/or focus 100%.
The fact that I was doing so well with K-dramas in the last half of 2024 makes me sad that I’ve not completed a single one so far this year.
A definite goal of mine is to diversify my watches and get more drama/film reviews on my blog. I’m concerned that I have much more bookish content and I still want to keep a lot more posts being about visual media rather than reading.

- I’m Not a Monster: The Lois Riess Murders (2024) ⭐⭐ – (documentary/international series)
Favourite Book: Because of Miss Bridgerton; Julia Quinn – I loved this so much! The romance, the pacing and the characters made for such a fun time ♥ I enjoyed a romance without much conflict between our main couple that ruins the joy.
Favourite Watch: Lisa Frankenstein – Last year I watched Heathers and Lisa Frankenstein was everything I wanted that film to be. This film was funny, over the top and an absolute wonderful time! Sometimes you just have to advocate a women’s wrongs~
Most Interesting Book: Cloistered; Catherine Coldstream – I found this first hand account of such a private Catholic practice to be so incredibly engaging. There’s a lot of information that I might have preferred more depth to, but this was more about the events and personal experiences of Coldstream.
Most Interesting Watch: The Body Next Door was an incredible documentary series that had be gripped. The twists and turns we were taken on were so unexpected. I did not expect the events we saw to occur in a small little Welsh village and have international elements.
Most Disappointing Book: Somewhere Beyond the Sea; T.J. Klune – This one feels wrong to say because I loved the first book so much and the themes of the book are really important. Personally, there was too much of that ‘childish whimsy’ to really make it impactful.
Most Disappointing Watch: While I did rate some low, I wasn’t exactly invested before I went in and had no real expectations.
Thanks for reading and I hope your goals are being achieved!
I hope you’re having a lovely day and staying safe ❤️
