Last year, my Reading and Watching Plans for 2024 were brief and yet…
What I have discovered, and fully realised about myself in 2024, is that while I love to make a list, giving myself a set list of books or things to watch is not conducive.
I did this for Buzzword-A-Thon, twelve non-fiction book picks and nine K-Dramas… and I avoided so many of those choices despite wanting to either read or watch what I had selected. For the majority, I just chose something different that would fit the prompt.
Which is why 2025 is the year of the Bingo Board!
I was inspired by Lianne from literarydiversions who has her Bingo Board From Hell, which helps to challenge and engage her reading.
As I’m still on a journey to becoming a Letterboxd girlie and getting back into watching K-Drama’s, I’ve also made a bingo board for my watches.
Lianne adds a tally to any square which relates to a book (so one book could create a point in 1, 2, or more squares) and I’m going to do the same. I like rewards 💖
For both boards each, the following applies:
For every 10 points gained: save £10 (squares overall)
For every completed square: treat up to £30
For every bingo: outing
2025 BINGO BOARD’s

ROW ONE
The first row has ‘Non-Fiction’, ‘Buzzword Prompt’ and ‘Re-Reads’. The first two are categories I try to accomplish each year and the third is one that I wish I did more of. I feel like I’m always prioritising and stressing over the unread books I own rather than giving some love to old favourites. I have a terrible memory and to be honest some may feel like new reads 😅
ROW TWO
The second row has ‘Backlist (pre ’22)’, ‘Sequel’ and ‘I’m Feeling…’. Time goes quicker than I realise, so 2021 being three whole years ago, made sense considering how many books I have that were published pre-2022. For the middle square, I went with something easy. In 2024 I did really well in continuing and completing series, plus I do want to continue with Spy x Family and possibly do a re-read of Ouran High School Host School which adds up to quite a few volumes! The last category is a new challenge I started in the second half of last year and I’m looking forward to trying new emotions.
ROW THREE
The final row has ‘Audiobook’, ’52 Book Club Prompt’ and ‘Skulduggery Pleasant’. For someone who has Audible, access to Libby and audiobooks included in Spotify, I do not listen to them enough! I have a commute that in total each day is over 2hrs, so that would be a great time to get some reading in, at least when my anxiety is behaving. The 52 Book Club is an annual challenge which tries to prompt readers to read more widely.
The last square is probably the one I’m scared of the most. Derek Landy has had me in a chokehold since I was 12 years old and I don’t know how to escape. I hate Phase 2 of Skulduggery Pleasant and I don’t use ‘hate’ lightly. I can’t stand it. My plan in 2025 for Skulduggery Pleasant is to finish Phase 2 and catch up with these new ones before re-reading Phase 1. I swear to all that is holy, if Phase 2 has ruined my enjoyment of Phase 1, I’m coming for Derek!

ROW ONE
The first row has ‘Award Show Nominee’, ‘Documentary’ and ‘International Series’. For the award show, this includes winners as they technically were also nominees, from any year. I’m not restricting myself to 2024/25 as these are sometimes harder/expensive to consume. I want to watch more documentaries this year, especially as I have created my own rating system that I’m looking forward to using. The last one is to catch the other tv series that I watch that aren’t Korean.
ROW TWO
The second row has ‘Re-Watch’, ‘Letterboxd 2024 Year in Review’ and ‘British Film/Series’. I have less of a problem with this one in that I re-watch more often than I re-read, but I don’t want to take myself out of the practice by getting myself focused on all the new shiny things to watch. The Letterboxd Year in Review’s are full of things to watch and there’s so much variety as well so I think that will be a great place to get recommendations. The last one looks out of place, but I do want to consume more British media (English, Scottish, Welsh).
ROW THREE
The final row has ‘International Film’, ‘K-Drama’ and ‘1960, ’65,’87 and 1995’. For International Film I want to keep making my Letterboxd map green, with much needed focus in Africa and South America. The K-Drama square is a given and one I so desperately want to complete over and over again because that’s how this blog started in the first place! Lastly, I thought it would be fun to have a little challenge where I watch films that came out the years when my family was born 💖
SCHEDULE
A schedule is one of the things I struggle with the most, however, this year I’m aiming for at least three posts each month. I’ve spent the last couple of months doing this and I’m feeling confident!
Thanks for reading!
I hope you’re having a lovely day and staying safe ♥
