RESULTS & THOUGHTS

I have questions about this result… namely ????

50%?! I said nay to 7/10 of the songs.

I suppose I can give it the fact that the songs I did say ‘yea’ to were more upbeat and joyful/hopeful than the ones I didn’t. I do think that maybe this list isn’t the best as, to be honest, a lot of the songs were somewhat similar.

‘Easy’ by Le Sserafim has such a cool vibe and I really enjoyed this one. On the other hand Enhypen’s ‘Sweet Venon’ is kind of cringey – lyrically – but is fun! Which, if you’re a long time kpop fan, this is totally normal 😂 And finally, TWICE just make me happy in general and ‘One Spark’ is great and well-sung.

And I do think I’m going to sound a bit like a hater, but I think one of the reasons I don’t listen to much mainstream and popular groups anymore is because of the amount of English lyrics. So many of these songs are about 80% English… And I get that it’s to cater and target themselves to the Western/American audience because it’s so big there now, but I think it weakens the a groups discography.

I like to think that I am hopeful and optimistic, but I have to admit that 50% is rather generous 😂
