Our trio has become a quartet!
DaYoung is in a contract meeting with a shifty man – Han MyeolCheol -, who wants her to pay 1 million won (which is around ยฃ680). As she doesn’t have the money, he tells her to give up her dream of becoming an idol.
MyeolCheol is happy to hear DaYoung say she’ll get the money.
DaYoung is a fellow classmate of our two geniuses and she brings them to MyeolCheol’s office where several girls are bemoaning how he’s run off with their money. EunWoo’s sister is also there. She isn’t a victim, just there to support her friends.
The boys accept the pleas for their help and the girls get excited at JinKyung’s entrance.
EunWoo’s sister proclaims that her name is Seulgi and that she’s in charge of this case with the Rebel Detectives. JinKyung immediately falls for Seulgi’s charms, but HanEum and Oh Sung sneak off.
When the girls notice they’re missing, they call for them. Which starts their catwalk back into the room in new outfits.
Everyone starts searching the office, which they discover is a front for a fake company. HanEum finds fingerprints and runs them through his trusty Phoenix program (which he gets a pat on the head for and a scolding for using an illegal program, both from JinKyung haha).
According to the database, MyeolCheol has two counts of fraud against him. And JinKyung learns, from phoning in for an identity search, that he also has tax delinquencies and seized accounts.
Meanwhile, Oh Sung and HanEum find sheet paper with invisible ink notes on it. Seulgi notices that the notes aren’t in line with the boxes and Oh Sung says it must be a password.
Oh Sung decodes it:
414 Cheongdam-Dong Village. 12th at 6pm. VIP party.
The party is tonight and the four head to the address.
JinKyung wants to just charge in, but Oh Sung pulls her back and says they are going to infiltrate the party (which isn’t her style haha).
Thankfully, Seulgi whips out some invitations. However, JinKyung’s pleasure is short lived as they want to use her bank card to buy formal wear.
During the party, while JinKyung is moaning to Seulgi about the boys, MyeolCheol walks over to the girls.
Thoughts:
I’m really excited to see the new dynamic that Seulgi is bringing to the team.
This episode was very short, but we learnt quite a bit about the beginnings of our case. However, I don’t have much to say as this episode was kind of generic.
To be honest the plots aren’t that well presented, but the characters make me laugh because they are ridiculous haha
Thanks for reading! I hope you are having a lovely day~
