It’s Sunday! Here are some Korean and Japanese songs that I have been loving this week~ I hope you enjoy them!
NCT U – ‘일곱 번째 감각 (The 7th Sense)’
I love this song. It has a cool, smooth vibe to it and it’s pretty catchy. The only problem is that I really don’t like the MV. I just thought it was boring and I don’t really like the colours or the outfits.
The song (from what I can gather) is about opening your eyes.
hahahha I’m so funny… ^^”
Anyway, I think it’s about opening not just your eyes, but all your other sense as well and escaping a world where you don’t feel great or it’s not a good place for you.
I could be completely wrong though.
Hong KwangHo – ‘Death Note’
This is one of those songs that I found a while ago, but I can’t help not going back to it every so often.
This is from Death Note The Musical, where KwangHo plays Light. It’s a song about, how at first Light wants nothing to do with the Death Note, but then the song takes a rather megalomaniac turn!
I haven’t read or seen any Death Note, but I love this song! KwangHo’s voice is so beautiful and listening to this on repeat for hours is not a hard thing to do!
VIXX – ‘다이너마이트 (Dynamite)’
VIXX are one of those groups who are my children. Which is a totally normal statement to make about men I have and never will meet haha ^^”.
Every time VIXX comes back, they are just stronger and stronger. Their vocals are getting better and I just love watching their mvs, they are never boring!
The song, from the lyrics I have read, is about how someone is very confused and upset as to why the person they are in love with doesn’t want to be with them anymore (I think).
This MV is rather mismatched with the colour and how some of the frames are shot, however, I think a lot of it goes well with each other and with the concept of the song.
ONE OK ROCK – ‘Heartache’
I only have a couple of songs that I have heard from OOR that I like, this being one of them and probably the one I like the most.
Heartache is about having heartache, when you are told that you will get over someone, but you haven’t and you can’t see it ever happening.
I love that this video is so simple, with just the members playing and singing in a atmospheric room full of candles. This setting and Taka’s gentle, emotional voice makes it very beautiful.
