reading, watching and blogging~

How on earth is it already halfway through the year?! 2022 is flying by and I feel tired and stressed constantly. Being an adult is great… 👍🏻
Darcy may have his annoying moments, but he’s super cute and makes me happy, so here’s a picture of my beautiful baby to maybe help you too ♥:
I fell of the wagon a little with my plans for blogging in June and this may continue for a little while as I’m going back to 9-5 + Mon-Fri at my job, as well as currently working on trying to get a full time position in my office…
This is why I’ve not completed my Try an Episode Tag which I’m really disappointed about because I really want to watch dramas but I procrastinate so much 😭
From now on, I’m going planning to post once or twice a week, and if I have time I’ll post more. I have plans for August, so July is my little guinea pig month to show me what I’m capable of, with the time I have.
I’m hoping to utilise audiobooks on my commute and also get into the habit of reading for at least 30 minutes before bed.
I’ve been in a little slump in June, after doing so well in May, which means I’ve decided that I’m not going to make a TBR for July (I do have one planned for August but again we’ll see how I feel~) and I will simply be mood reading and hoping for the best 😂
The only thing I’m going to try to fulfil in July in the “girlxoxo monthly motif reading challenge”:
Summer Lovin’ – Having a Blast
July’s prompt for the motif challenge is to read something fun and light hearted, which includes beach reads, rom coms and love stories.
I don’t really like reading contemporaries, so I’m going to start the companion series to Lisa Kleypas’ The Wallflower Series, the first book being Mine Till Midnight ♥
I have a habit of simply re-watching the British classic sitcom that is Dinnerladies because I get anxiety when watching new things. Nothing can take me by surprise when re-watching things and there is no prospect of being disappointed as I know what to expect!
I want to push myself in July to not do this… I’m going to try and see if I can train myself to cross stitch and take in a kdrama at the same time. Wish my luck! 😅
I hope to finish The Killer’s Shopping List before July and in July I hope to finish the other ones from that challenge.
My plan is to watch at least one episode a day during the week which sounds rubbish, but it’s way more than I’ve done this entire year so far it feels like! At the weekend I’m definitely going to try to watch around 3 or 4.
What plans do you have for July?
Thanks for reading!
I hope you’re having a good day and staying safe ♥
