It’s time for KPOP! I listened to so much music for this post, but I’ve tried my best to be really mindful and only put songs on this list that I have actively been listening to and will continue to do so throughout the year and beyond. The list is still pretty long (whoops π ), but the quality of the February releases is better than January in my opinion.
I hope you’re favourites are on this list too and let me know your thoughts!
So let’s start, in no particular order!
Wanna go get some abalone – Young Tak
We’re starting off with a fun bang! Wanna go and get some abalone is so fun, wonderfully sung and the mv is cute/funny. I love this type of trot so much – it just make me happy!

Trip – APINK
While I wasn’t really a fan of Apink’s new album HORN, this b-side ballad really stood out as it’s so pretty. Everyone’s vocals are wonderful~
πππ
INVU – Taeyeon
Not only are Taeyeon’s vocals fantastic for INVU (which is spelt out and not “invoo” and I’m not not saying that’s what I was calling it before the song came out…) and this album in general, this MV is absolutely beautiful! The styling and makeup is stunning and it’s always nice to see SM give sets budget and utilise special effects in an interesting way.
I also really liked the following songs on the same name album – INVU – Some Nights || Siren || Timeless || You Better Not β₯
πππ
Dream Vision – Eun Woo Cho (ft. Suhyun Kim + AllThou)
This song is breathtaking and sounds so hauntingly beautiful!
πππ
JIKJIN – TREASURE
I think I’ve only ever heard Treasure’s debut… but I don’t remember. I really enjoy this song, it’s upbeat, has power to it and some really nice vocal moments. Also I’m a simple human who loves a good catchy chorus!
I will say the rest of the album is weak and kind of bland… And I really do love the iKON cover of this title track more – definitely check it out if you haven’t already here!
πππ
Lovender – Han Seung Yun
Absolutely wonderful! I love finding a new ballad to play on repeat β₯
πππ
ALIVE – Ulala Session
Alive is super fun and catchy, with strong vocals to keep you doubly hooked!
πππ
Pity Party – JAMIE
Jamie has such a strong and rich voice and Pity Party showcases it in a great way. The chorus is also so fun to sing along to (plus the dance is fun too)! I hope we get more music from her soon β₯
πππ
Can’t Run Away – Hong Isaac
This is a perfect song for a crime drama, so it definitely makes sense that it’s an OST from Through The Darkness (which I definitely need to watch because Kim Nam Gil β₯). Isaac’s songs can be a bit hit or miss for me, but Can’t Run Away shows off his vocals perfectly.
πππ
Good Night – Rolling Quartz
I love kbands, so it’s great to find an all female one! The lead singer has a great voice and all the instruments are very well played. While, not every song was to my taste (I know they’re a rock band, but sometimes it gets too heavy for me, y’know?), I also really liked Holler and Azalea~
πππ
Alone – Hajin
I have no idea what Artificial City is about, but I’ve heard two ost’s for it and they’re both incredible! Hajin has an incredibly emotive voice which is perfect for an ost and a ballad~
πππ
Winter Rain – Ha Yea Song
From one beautiful and emotional song to another with Ha Yea Song’s Winter Rain. I’ve listened to a couple of her songs before (I believe ost’s), but never realised how great she is until this song. I’ve been missing out on top tier ballads!
πππ
The Song – BTOB
The Song is really [retty and opening a ballad with Changsub is a power move in my opinion~
Songs I also really enjoyed from the album Be Together were the following – Blooming Day || Be Together || Lonely || Dance With Me || Thank You β₯
πππ
RUN2U – STAYC
RUN2U has definitely grown on me – I still think some of the music beats are annoying, especially at the beginning… but as I’m listening to it more my brain is getting used to it so I can focus on the great vocals β₯ I also really enjoyed Same Same and I Want U Baby from the album.
πππ
A little more – Do Young (NCT)
There isn’t really much for me to say other than this is just a really pretty ballad by Do Young and I’m looking forward to Soundtrack #1, as so far the ost’s being released are great!
πππ
Wind – Kim Min Joo (ft. Na Young Joo)
Women singing pansori is so beautiful! And the way Wind utilises both traditional Korean instruments and modern ones makes for such an engaging sound. I will say, it does get a bit chaotic near the end, but the fact that I really really like Na Young Joo’s voice saves it for me β₯
πππ
Habitual – WH3N
It’s time for a beautiful indie ballad! I was really spoilt in February for ballad/ballad type songs and I hope this continues.
I’m excited to check out WH3N’s other music and see what he brings out next~
Thanks for reading!
I hope youβre having a lovely day and staying safe β₯
