I saw the JANuary book tag on Syd BookWorrom’s channel, which was created by Jan Agaton. I really like the questions, but I wasn’t interested in doing this tag with books, so instead, I’ve changed the wording of the questions and taken out some of the ones that I didn’t think were relevant to drama watching.
I’m going to be doing this every January. The tag has some recap questions, but also heavily focuses on the now and the coming year in some really great ways β₯
what was the last drama you watched last year?
The last drama I finished in 2021 was the Thai webdrama Ingredients (2020).
Marwin (Jeff) and Top (Gameplay) live together and have found a gentle peace during the pandemic. Marwin has a passion for music and spends most of his days focused on his guitar. Their friendship and love blossoms around Tops’ passion for cooking. It was super cute as it does feel like they both like each other from the beginning, and we’re just waiting for them to actually vocalise it to each other. There is little to no angst and it’s incredibly binge worthy as the episodes are so short. You can watch it on the official YouTube channel – Central Food TV – here.
which goals did you reach/not reach last year?
I decided to keep this in because I’m more optimistic about the challenges I have set for myself this year (which you can see here). Unfortunately, last year I set my goals way too high and failed miserably! π
what is your first watch in 2022?
For this question, I’ll either be answering with a drama I started at the beginning of the year and have finished or am currently watching.
I started Bad Buddy the Series on the 1st. I’m really enjoying it so far, but need to slow down as two episodes are yet to air and I hate waiting… It’s about two men who reunite at University, whose parents have hated each other since they were children (they are still neighbours). The pair were forced into an intense rivalry, but they’ve never truly hated each other. We watch the pair realise their true feelings while trying to keep up the pretense that they hate each other to their parents are friends.
I also started Hello, Me! on the 7th. I’ve been procrastinating finishing the dramas in the next question, so that’s mostly why. Ban Ha Ni (Choi Kang Hee) is miserable and can never get a break, but her life is turned upside down when her obnoxious and confident 17yr old self enters her life. I’ve only watched two episodes, but they were great! They’re funny and quirky, but there is still a lot of heart.
Carryovers from last year that you still plan on finishing?
I started quite a few dramas last year and I didn’t end up finishing them. I’m going to carry over six that I definitely want to complete this year:
share three of your watching goals for this year
- Spelling my name with dramas! I have a definite watchlist for 2022 of just 8 dramas which may be the kindest I’ve ever been to myself β₯
- Completing my Drama Bingo Board
- The main one is getting over my ending anxiety. Finishing dramas and book series is something I always find myself procrastinating. I did really well with book series last year, so I need to get that same headspace with dramas.
what are some watching habits you want to change this year?
I suppose finishing dramas is both a goal and habit, right?
At the beginning of the month I started a little habit tracker in my journal and I’m hoping to cross off each day by watching something, even if it’s just one episode. This way I can get into the habit of watching and thus finishing dramas.
share three of your anticipated releases of 2022
I never really make an effort to keep up to date with dramas that are upcoming. However, one I know about for sure is Between Us, which is supposed to be airing this year and I’ll definitely be watching that once it fully airs! For the other two I had to do some research.
Soundtrack #1
This drama stars Han So Hee and Park Hyung Sik – which is a wonderful casting choice! It doesn’t yet have a release date, but is meant to air in the first half of this year.
Two people have been friends for two decades, but a mere two weeks of living together blurs that fine line between love and friendship. Han Sun Woo (Park Hyung Sik) is a handsome rookie photographer with a warm personality, while Seo Eun Soo (Han So Hee) is a lively, straightforward, and honest person who openly expresses her feelings. Three years ago, she seized a chance opportunity to become a lyricist. Nowadays details of their relatable romance are subtly interwoven into her musical compositions.

Between Us
I’m really excited to learn more about this couple’s story. I watched the little special episodes and they were so cute. I know the drama itself with have a lot more angst, but I’m still looking forward to seeing them again β₯ Between Us does not yet have a release date.
A parallel story to Until We Meet Again (2019). Tells the story of how Win (Boun) and Team (Prem) get to know one another through the swim club and they eventually develop a relationship. Their relationship grows as Win helps Team deal with his childhood trauma and Team helps Win feel wanted.

Crazy Love
This plot sounds ridiculous and I’m here for it. I think Krystal and Kim Jae Wook – as a pairing – will be really interesting. Krystal tends to be paired with older love interests, so I’m expecting great chemistry despite the age gap. Crazy Love is supposed to air on February 21st.
The crazy romance drama is about a man who pretends to have amnesia when he is told he will be murdered and a woman who pretends to be his fiancΓ©e when she is told she doesnβt have much time to live. Noh Go Jin (Kim Jae Wook) is the CEO of GOTOP and the top math instructor in the country. Lee Shin Ah (Krystal) is Noh Go Jinβs secretary with zero presence. She is at the top of the company when it comes to sincerity and responsibility, but she is so quiet, introverted, and hopeless at bragging that she seems non-existent.
