26 questions! Let’s do this!

Author You’ve Read The Most From:
When I was in my early teens, I loved Darren Shan! I’m not interested in his new zombie stuff, but even so, I don’t think any other author comes close! haha
Best Sequel Ever:
Sometimes sequels can fall very short of expectations, but here are a few that are just beautiful sequels!
- Prince’s Gambit – C.S. Pacat
I actually enjoyed Captive Prince, I know the first book in this trilogy has a bad reputation. However, Prince’s Gambit made me love the characters even more and it really solidified Laurent and Damen’s personalities and I love them so much! ♥
- Unravel Me – Tahereh Mafi
Shatter Me was so boring. I was so close to not continuing, other than the fact that Whitney from Whittynovels always raves about this series haha! And I’m so glad I did! Unravel Me was wonderful! Juliette’s character development makes me so happy!
Currently Reading:
Drink Of Choice While Reading:
I tend to only really drink water… so water haha
E-Reader Or Physical Book?
I prefer to read the physical book, however, late at night (or in lectures) using the Overdrive app on my phone is so helpful and just logistically easier.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM!!! I love him so much and I think we would have got on really well in secondary school (but I went to an all girls school, so he would have been the hot version when we would have met, so I don’t think I’d be in his league haha ^^”)
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
I have talked about this a couple of times, but here we go again~
Illuminae – by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – is a mixed media book set in the future and in space. I’ve seen so many people rave about this trilogy and I never really wanted to read it, but then I saw it in person last year and I just wanted to buy it haha
But I’m so glad I picked this up! Space stuff in books isn’t my thing, but this was just perfection and I’m so excited to read Obsidio at some point this month!
Hidden Gem Book:
The Girl of Ink and Stars – by Kiran Millwood Hargrave
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
Finding out that book sleeves are a thing!! And then finding out that you can knit them! The left one is a book sleeve from ARTISANAL ANÉ and the book sleeve on the right is one that I knitted myself ♥
Just Finished:
I had a lecture on Dante’s Inferno which made me really interested in reading the first book in the Divine Comedy, so I did!
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
I’m not really sure for this one. There are genres I don’t go to often, like Contemporary, sci-fi, thriller. But sometimes there are some great books in those genres that I stumble upon. I guess non-fiction?
Longest Book You’ve Read:
The Norton Anthology of Poetry is a whopping 2,182 pages and has those horrible thing Bible-y pages that you have to be so careful with.
Major Book Hangover Because Of:
The High Lord – Trudi Canavan
I was about 10 or less pages from the end, and I gave up! But because I was so heartbroken and in despair!
Every time I looked at this book for about a week or two after I put it down, I teared up
(but of course I made sure to read the last page haha :p)

Number of Bookcases You Own:
I recently posted a pic of my book cases, but I’ll put it here too. I have 4 altogether, but I need more because I have a book buying problem!
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is my favourite book of all time and last year in March I read it about 4 times, and 2 of those were consecutively! I will definitely be reading it at some point again this year! And probably more than once haha
Preferred Place To Read:
Somewhere comfy! So the sofa, armchair or bed 🙂
Quote That Inspires You/Gives You All The Feels From A Book You’ve Read:
“Until the end” from The Dying of the Light by Derek Landy – is my favourite quote and it makes me so emotional and inspired and I even got it tattooed on me!
Hopefully you can see the tattoo okay, this pic was a currently reading pic for my instagram haha~
Reading Regret:
I don’t have reading regrets… at least I don’t think I do. I don’t quite understand why people would have them.
Series You Started And Need To Finish (all books are out in series):
A part of my anxiety makes it difficult for me to finish series, so this is a pretty extensive list now… ones that I can think of on the top of my head are
- The Mortal Instruments
- Keys to the Kingdom series
- Lord of the Rings etc.
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
- Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen. Of course.
- Skulduggery Pleasant – Derek Landy
- Twilight – Stephanie Meyer. Don’t @me!
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Skulduggery Pleasant! I love this series and I will forever stand by Derek Landy and this series. I see its flaws and I’m not necessarily a great fan of the newer books, but I’m still here for them!
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
I’m so stuck in my own collection and working my way through my books, that I’m not really sure what is coming out and whether I should be excited or not haha ^^”
Worst Bookish Habit:
Buying an entire series before even starting the first book… I do this all the time and I have so many series on my shelves that I still haven’t got to yet.
Realistically, this probably won’t change haha
X Marks The Spot
- Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
I’m currently at uni, so I don’t have access to my bookcases, but I can go round the books I have here~
A Spy in the House (Agency #1) by Y.S. Lee.
I also just came to the realisation that I have around 30 books in my uni room… whoops!
Your Latest Book Purchase:
I racked up points on my Waterstones account and I decided to buy Scythe and Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman
ZZZ-Snatcher Book:
- Last Book That Kept You Up WAY Late:
This was more of a: I should be going to sleep, but I’m going to read anyway. So I don’t know if this counts. But anyway, I stayed up way too late to read both Heartstopper Vol 1 – Alice Oseman – and Fence Vol 1 – C.S. Pacat which are both graphic novels.
Thanks for reading! I hope you are having a lovely day~
