Asian Drama Tag!

Hello! I am currently working on getting up the courage to start recapping Splash Splash Love again, but for now I wanted to just do a fun little tag – especially as I have a few new subscribers to this blog! I hope you can get to know my watching habits a little, and I would love to  hear your answers to the questions too! ^^

I found this tag here (so all credit to this person and the creator).

So here goes!!

  1. First Drama:

I’m not actually sure… I think it might have been It Started With a Kiss or Devil Beside You. They were definitely the dramas that sent me down the rabbit hole of dramas! Old Taiwanese Dramas aren’t great, but there is just something about them that makes you fall in love and laugh and cry and it’s wonderful!

2. Favourite Korean Drama:

Fated To Love You! I laughed, I cried (sobbed is more accurate a term) and I fell in love with the characters. I would definitely recommend this drama, Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk are fantastic actors and they really threw themselves into the characters and this story. And Heart to Heart! This drama is one that I haven’t heard many people talk about, but sends my brain into slushy mush of emotions when I think about it. I adored this drama and I would definitely recommend it! ❤

3. Favourite Action/Crime Drama:

Oooh this is hard! I don’t typically watch action or crime dramas, apart from Western ones. However, it’s hard to choose just one, so I’ll cop out and choose 2 :p The first is God’s Quiz, which I watched the first series (I haven’t seen the subsequent 3… I should probably do that though haha ^^”). This drama was so well done and to be honest it’s OCN so I wouldn’t have expected anything less! The other drama is also an OCN drama and that is Special Affairs Team Ten. I was terrified by this drama. The crime and the psychological twists and shit were so chilling! I started the second series, but I had to stop (I’m a wimp… However, I really want to rewatch it and finish it!).

4. Favourite Female Lead Character:

vp-lee-young-ahOooh, there are so many! However, I’m going to go with Yoo JungIn (played by Lee YoungAh). I’m still bitter that Vampire Prosecutor has still not gotten a series 3, but a spin off thing with Lee Joon that I’ve not seen, but haven’t heard great things of. So, here is a kickass woman, who stands up for what she believes in, wants to protect her team and is human. I want everything for this precious little firecracker who on her first meeting with her new boss, gives him the hand gesture for f you and gets flustered when it’s possible that he saw! I just want to know that she’s alright… is that too much to ask OCN?!?!?!

5. Favourite Male Lead Character:

2017-03-20 (12)

I actually don’t know… there are so many that I love, but at the moment, I’m really enjoying Huo Tingen (played by Chris Wu) from The Perfect Match. For the basic reason that he is refreshing. He isn’t overly protective and speaks his mind and heart clearly and he doesn’t pressure the female lead into being with him. This is a currently airing Taiwanese drama and I recommend it 🙂

6. Favourite Second Lead Character:

Second leads, the ones that break your heart because you just want them to find love or annoy every second they are on screen. I have two for this, the first is a male and that is Kevin (played by the handsome Jang Seung Jo) from I Order You. He was so sweet, he got a bit annoying later on in the drama, but I just wanted to hug this man so badly! The female is RuXi (or Gina) who is played by Xiao Man in The Perfect Match. RuXi is unlike a lot of second female leads: as in she is actually likeable. She is in love with the main, but she doesn’t act meanly, and she doesn’t force (to a degree) her feelings onto the male lead. I wish she would give the same lessons to the second male lead in the drama though….

7. A Drama You Couldn’t Finish:

I’m going with I couldn’t finish a drama because I didn’t enjoy it, not that I was too terrified (*looking at you Special Affairs Team Ten 2*). I can only think of two and those are Cheongdamdong Alice. I liked the male lead, but the female main lead was so aggravating and I just couldn’t get myself to finish it… The other is recent and that is Dear Fair Lady Kong Shim. I really wanted to like this one, but it just wasn’t for me!

8. Favourite Drama Ending:

I actually don’t know. I like most drama endings. I mean if my couple are okay and happy, then that’s all that matters haha ^^” I am trash for romcoms haha

9. A Popular Drama That You Dislike:

I guess I would say Secret Garden… It’s not that I disliked it, it’s just I wasn’t overly impressed and honestly, I would rather watch the Big Bang parody than the actual drama haha :p

10. An Unpopular Drama That You Like:

I don’t know what dramas are unpopular…

11. A Classic Drama:

I don’t think I have seen any of the “classic” dramas…

12. A Drama That Inspired You:

good-doctor

Good Doctor. This drama made me smile and sob like a baby. The story of a man with autism who overcomes obstacles to be a doctor and help people was such a beautiful and inspiring story. And Joo Won did a fantastic job in this drama!

13. A Drama That Made You Cry:

Every drama… I’m not even kidding. I will cry at least once in any drama. If it’s a Sageuk, I will cry in the first episode for sure. So… I don’t know what to put… haha ^^”

14. A Drama That Made You LOL:

The_LoverMnet2015-142

Ooooh, this is hard! But, I’m going to have to go with The Lover! That drama was hilarious (it had it’s emotional moments definitely, but by gods it was funny and weird!). Definitely give it a go if you want a laugh, but maybe don’t watch it with your parents around haha

15. Favourite Drama Outside South Korea:

It Started With a Kiss. I don’t even know how many times I have rewatched this drama (and it’s sequel). I love the characters and the story is cliched as hell and I LOVE it!!!

16. The Most Recent Drama You Finished:

Puck_780x436

Is it bad that I actually have no idea…I think it might have been Puck!… that was ages ago… I’m currently watching three dramas, so that’s okay, right? haha This was more of a film, but it was so good, I would definitely recommend it! I know nothing about ice hockey and I really enjoyed it. Lee KwangSoo is so attractive and I love seeing him in roles that utilise his acting talent.

That was a lot of questions. Thank you if you got this far! I hope you liked this post and if you disagree with any of my answers, let me know why! I would love to hear what your answers are too!
